ECO-CLUB
The main aim of establishing the Eco Club was to conserve the natural resources and the natural environment to create Eco friendly environment and create awareness of biodiversity conservation and local environmental issues among children and to create a clean and green consciousness among students through various innovative methods. Eco club plays an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. The Main motive of the Eco Club is to nurture and teach the importance of environment to students. To realize this wisdom the college is continuously working towards saving environment. Eco-Club is established in the college in 2012. The Eco-Club aims at making college campus Eco-friendly.
Vision: Protect and create environment awareness among students by offering programmes and resources.
Aims of Eco-Club:
1. To make students and community aware about environmental problems and role of common man I solving these problems.
2. To motivate students to be updated with news related to environment.
3. To give them understanding about the root cause of problems.
4. To involve them in the activities related to environmental awareners.
5. To enable them to apply this knowledge in daily life and follow environmental values.
6. To encourage them to take a lead in programs for the protection of environment and participate in communities’ activities related to environment.
7. To celebrate special days related to environment.
Activities of Eco-Club:
1. Talks on Environmental Awareness like environmental problem, health hazards etc.
2. Talks on common man’s role in creating the problems and his significant role in solving these problems.
3. Sapling plantation drive by students and teachers.
4. Conducting rallies for environmental awareness in adopted village.
5. Organizing various competitions on the theme ‘Save Environment’ like poster making, slogan writing etc.
6. To participate in Flower Shows.
7. To maintain green landscape of college.
8. To guide gardeners about growing more trees/ plants and water saving irrigation techniques.
9. To test the drinking water supply of college periodically for contamination.
